Melissa Melendez, born August 9, 1965. This ribald Latin princess was a staple of the 80s porn scene. Melissa Melendez hit the blue screen in 1984, and scorched her way through over 50 features during her carnal career. Her sister Lisa and her both entered into the industry about the same time, but Lisa never reached the heights, or stardom of Melissa.
Most of her work was confined to video, as she entered the biz at the dawn of the video boom, but she also did some 35mm work. Either way, she shined. She retired in 1987 but came out of retirement in 1991. Melissa chugged along through the early 90s, but called it quits for good in 1994 when her sister was forced to leave the business after contracting AIDS. Melissa decided it was time to walk away and she cared for her sister right up to her passing in 1999. Melissa has since withdrawn completely from the industry.
