Olivier Bourguet is a Belgian travel photographer, author and filmmaker whose work grows out of long-distance expeditions, bringing together nature, human encounters and faraway cultures. From Eastern Europe and South America to Ethiopia, the Middle East, Madagascar, Romania and Namibia, he takes an intimate, human and unfiltered approach to travel. Shaped by months spent on the road and by bicycle, his films and stories celebrate the beauty of landscapes, faces and living traditions.

He received the Fondation Belge de la Vocation award for Récits de Voyages en Images. His book Ethiopia, the Mythical Empire became a bestseller and received a five-star rating and a Coup de Cœur distinction from Chasseur d’Images; fifty of his photographs were later exhibited at UNESCO in Paris. A travel leader in Ethiopia, Romania, Madagascar and Namibia, he continues to turn his fieldwork into films and books driven by a lasting curiosity for people and places.
