Biography
Savannah (born Shannon Wilsey) was an American porn star and rock groupie, having relationships and flings with a number of notable rock stars, actors, and comedians, including Gregg Allman, Billy Idol, Vince Neil, David Lee Roth, Billy Sheehan, Pauly Shore, Slash, and Mark Wahlberg.
Savannah started her porn career in 1990 and quickly shot to superstar status, soon being signed to Vivid Video as one of the earliest Vivid contract girls. Though earning considerable money via Vivid, endorsement deals, and other avenues, Savannah's drug use and other spending got out of control, affecting her work and resulting in the loss of her Vivid contract in 1993. She continued working for smaller studios and also for low-budget Hollywood productions under her birth name, but her lifestyle continued to be chaotic, and her relationship with Jeanna Fine ended after 2 years being on-and-off. On July 11, 1994, after crashing her Corvette, where the accident broke her nose and scratched her face the day before she was to film her next project, Savannah committed suicide via self-inflicted gunshot. She died in the hospital that evening with her father and boyfriend Pauly Shore at her side. She was 24 years old.
