Rita and Teddy are so in love that Teddy refuses his father’s urging that he marry another young woman. When Teddy introduces Rita to his father, Rita remembers a dark part of her past and realizes that Teddy’s father Bambang, murdered her mother to take over her wealth, while Rita herself had almost been strangled to death by Bambang’s friend Hendrik.
